Saidi Canes Thursdays with Koshtana (10wks): Sep-Nov 2017

Looking for a fun new dance partner? Ready, steady, Saidi!

Saidi is an upbeat, energetic and earthy dance style, originating in Egypt, and danced with a cane (or stick). Your cane is your partner, but don’t be deceived by its simple appearance! Learning to twirl and control the cane awakens new muscles in your arms, wrists and hands that you never even knew you had.

Work your core and perfect your posture as you master the art of balancing the cane on your head. Animate your dance with upbeat hops, taps and twirls to create a dazzling dance partnership!

With the option to perform at our end of term Belly Dance Showcase on Sunday 26th November 2017, take to the stage with your new partner and get your guests’ toes tapping - they’ll have a hard time sitting still without wanting to join the party!

Note: Saidi canes are provided for use during classes, but are not available to take home or use in the Showcase. We advise that you invest in a cane for your home practice and/or if you’d like to perform at the show.
