Persian Belly Dance with Shaddy: (10wks) Jan-Mar 2012

(picture)

Persian dance is a fluid, expressive form, unique to Iran and beautifully complementary to Belly Dance. Its character is grace, beauty and coy sensuality. In its traditional form it is often slow and circular, which makes it very useful in your Belly Dance training as slow means muscle control! In it's modern form, it's energetic, fun and just a little cheeky!

The emphasis in this course, amongst many Persian dance themes, is beautiful hand and shoulder motions, facial expressions and fluidity of movement, all of which are essential to your development as a dancer. We introduce the basics and incorporate them into a modern routine - using Persian Dance and Belly Dance - working on confidence and performance technique as we go.

During this course you also learn an exciting choreography - for which you receive a free practice CD of the song - and have the opportunity to perform in Fleur Estelle Dance School's end of term show in London's West End on Saturday 24th March 2012.
