Isis Wings Sundays with Dionne: (10wks) Jan-Mar 2019

Did you know isis wings can help you master one of the most challenging belly dance moves?

That’s right, windmill turns! We all know they can be pretty tricky to get right – but your wings can guide you towards mastering the technique. They’ll tell you when your arms are out of line, and they’ll celebrate with you the moment you get it right! If you’re feeling a little stuck with some of the turns in your current level, spread your isis wings and discover a new and exciting way to overcome the challenge.

With flicks, flutters and grand poses, this course teaches you the travelling steps, transitions, turns and techniques to create beautiful shapes in the wings – and mesmerise your audience!

This course includes the option to perform at our end of term Belly Dance Showcase… do you remember the first time you saw Isis Wings on stage? Create the same sense of awe for your guests as they watch you dance with one of the most breathtaking props around!

Note: Isis wings are provided for use during classes, but are not available to take home or use in the Showcase. We advise that you invest in a pair for your home practice and/or if you’d like to perform at the show.

Entry to the venue is up to 15 minutes before class start time. Please sign in at reception on arrival (you don’t need to be a member of Nuffield) then head to the studio to dance with us!

Please note: Students may use the gym’s changing rooms and dance studio, but the use of any other facilities (e.g. showers, swimming pool etc.) is not permitted by the venue.

Disclaimer: As with any form of exercise, be sure to listen to your body and only do what feels comfortable for you. Your instructor will guide you safely through each class, but please note that you are responsible for your personal health at all times. Please speak to your doctor if you have any concerns before joining our classes. Healthy bodies are happy bodies!

Fees are non-refundable. If you miss 1 or 2 classes, you can take up to 2 replacement classes (subject to T&C here). You may also transfer your place to a friend if you can no longer make it, or apply for a future term transfer (subject to T&C here)

Course price (£130) is total fee per person. Add the performance bundle (£20) to your cart if you want to take part in the end of term Belly Dance Showcase on Sunday 24th March 2019.

What to wear

Comfortable clothing that you can move and stretch in!

For example:

  • leggings
  • a short or long top
  • barefoot / anti-slip socks / flexible sole slipper
  • optional coinbelt / hipscarf

Don’t have a coinbelt? We sell some in classes, or you can simply bring a winter scarf to wrap around your hips. Some students don’t wear a scarf nor a belt so don’t worry if you prefer to opt out!
