Then this course is for you! Learn the basics and discover a whole new world of shimmying fun in a supportive, friendly group class environment. Your instructor will be with you every step of the way, so you can relax and enjoy the start of your belly dance journey.
Absolute beginners welcome
Learn Level 1 techniques from hip circles to chest drops, and snake arms to shoulder accents. You’ll also dance short, upbeat combinations of moves set to music so you can discover how to transition between the different techniques with style and a smile!
Also learn a full choreography & regularly practice team improvisation exercises to develop your confidence and magic!

What to wear
Comfortable clothing that you can move and stretch in!
For example:
- leggings
- a short or long top
- barefoot / anti-slip socks / flexible sole slipper
- optional coinbelt / hipscarf
Don’t have a coinbelt? Simply wear a winter scarf to wrap around your hips. Some students don’t wear a scarf nor a belt so don’t worry if you prefer to opt out!
