Wings Belly Dance Tuesdays with Fleur: (10wks) April-June 2022

Spread your wings and fly!

This course teaches you a variety of wing techniques, twirls and poses to add grandeur to your belly dancing. Also learn a full choreography & regularly practice team improvisation exercises to develop your confidence and magic!

Did you know wings can help you master one of the most challenging belly dance moves?

That’s right, windmill turns! We all know they can be pretty tricky to get right – but your wings can guide you towards mastering the technique. They’ll tell you when your arms are out of line, and they’ll celebrate with you the moment you get it right! If you’re feeling a little stuck with some of the turns in your current level, spread your isis wings and discover a new and exciting way to overcome the challenge.

Content:Week 1-5 Foundation techniques and combinations
Week 6-8 Full choreography to a 2-3mins song taught
Week 9-10 Refining & Consolidation
Peppered throughout the course: Feedback, Q&A, team improvisation exercises to develop confidence & magic!

This fee is non-refundable, but transferable to a friend or to our online drop-in classes at a later date (within 1 year) if you can no longer take the course. If you miss a class on the course you can take one of our live online drop-in classes instead.

What to wear

Comfortable clothing that you can move and stretch in!

For example:

  • leggings
  • a short or long top
  • barefoot / anti-slip socks / flexible sole slipper
  • optional coinbelt / hipscarf

Don’t have a coinbelt? Simply wear a winter scarf to wrap around your hips. Some students don’t wear a scarf nor a belt so don’t worry if you prefer to opt out!
